About the Founder
Tamra Lowry, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi, I’m Tamra, the founder of DVT Therapeutics (formerly Dysphagia & Voice Therapeutics). Since 2020, I’ve dedicated my practice to making high-quality evaluations, therapy, consulting, and mentorship accessible to people across rural North Carolina.
Before opening DVT Therapeutics, I spent years working in hospitals, rehab centers, outpatient clinics, home health, and skilled nursing facilities. I saw firsthand how important it was to patients and families to have clear answers and compassionate support. That’s what inspired me to pursue advanced training in FEES swallow evaluations, respiratory muscle strength programs, trach/vent care, and dysphagia therapy.
My team and I are committed to providing evaluation and therapy services, as well as staffing solutions, that honor each person’s unique needs while helping them live safely, independently, and confidently.
